Hi Readers,

This is a mens fashion blog thats real, honest, down to earth and accessible to the every day man. The aim is to encourage an effortless style at a very low budget to give you the ability to reinvent your wardrobe with just a few items and boost your confidence. The aim is to help people towards their desired style in a way that you makes you 'feel' better in what you wear. Every man in some shape or form has an interest in maintaining a good appearance...I want to advise on how to do that with little time, effort and money.

Most Common Mistakes

1. Being on Trend - there is a difference between being trendy and wearing what suits you. Sometimes this is the same and there you go, you're fashionable and seemingly 'on trend'. But most of the time these 2 things don't converge. So focus on what makes you look good and not whats on the mannequin in the shop window. People won't notice you're ability to replicate Milan fashion show, they'll notice your ability to dress according to your 'look'.

2. Replicating others - There is no point looking at a 6ft 4 athlete with huge muscles wearing a tight t-shirt and then going out and buying a similar t-shirt that only just about covers your belly, which still bloated from last nights katsu curry. You won't look like him. The number 1 important rule is dress according to your body type! (elaborated in point 3). This goes further, dress according to your look. If you see a celebrity and you like their style, don't just look at their clothes, look at their height, hair colour, hair style, skin tone, posture, jaw line, accessories...all these will affect the way your clothes look. So if you're going to imitate, go for someone with a similar look, not the footballer your wife fancies.

3. Wrong size - ever been in that situation when you like something so much but it just doesn't fit quite right, so you think "oh i'll just wear it with 3 jumpers underneath and go on a high calorie, extreme weight training regime to make it fit me better" or the more common "i'll lose some weight...it'll encourage me to lose weight". No no no....it won't. You won't lose/gain weight fast enough, you'll want to wear it, you will wear it at a social event with other human beings....it will be too tight or too big...you won't look like the other human beings. So the point is move on, don't dwell on it, buy clothes with a perfect fit

4. The 'one-off' piece - don't get me wrong, one-off pieces are great for those special occasions, but if you're lacking summer gear and you only have £80 in your pocket, don't spend it on a £75 bright summer blazer when you have no shorts or shirts to go with it because then you'll go towards the danger zone i.e. trying to put things with it from what you already have. Keep a mental tab of your wardrobe at home when you go shopping.
